BUTTERFINGER® Candy Bars were introduced in 1928 by the Curtiss Candy Company and got its name through a contest. You might note that "Butterfinger" was a popular term in those times to describe athletes that couldn't hang onto the ball. And the peanut buttery aspects -
along with the fact that you hold it in your hand - made the name a natural.
Is Butterfinger kosher? Yes. It is. Everything else about BUTTERFINGER® though is, dare we
say, unorthodox! Does chocolate have a lot of caffeine in it? The amount of caffeine (a naturally
occurring substance and chemical in many foods) found in a chocolate bar is minimal compared to a cup (6-oz) of regular brewed coffee. Actually the amounts found in a chocolate bar can be closer to a cup of decaffeinated coffee.
